Given the success of craft beer and gin in Waterford, Liam McDonnell decided to use his family history in apples to create an Irish cider locally in Dungarvan as well. Liam created this new business based on apples from orchards that were planted by his grandfather Willie McDonell in the 1930’s and subsequently researched by his father, Dr. Pat McDonnell. Apple growing, apple studies, cider making, apple-related activities generally just run in the McDonnell family. Hence the name, Legacy.
Legacy Irish Cider are a range of natural crisp ciders fermented using natural wild yeasts from local handpicked apples.
All the ciders are naturally gluten free and vegan friendly.
