T. Morris is one of the most traditional pubs in Wexford town — and very nearly wasn’t. It came close to closing in 2020 before new owners stepped in and saved it, keeping it exactly as it should be: an old, characterful room with a covered beer garden and a serious commitment to live music. That it survived at all is a small piece of good fortune for the town; that it survived with its character intact is the real achievement.

The new ownership resisted the temptation to gut and rebrand. Instead they kept the traditional bar that regulars loved and added a well-judged cocktail offering alongside it — old-fashioned where it counts, contemporary where it helps. Live traditional music runs on Saturdays, with seasonal Friday sessions through the summer. The room is built for it — close, warm and informal — and the trad here is some of the most authentic in the town.
