Katie Duggan: The Yoga Teacher Doing Far More Than Stretching

Most yoga classes offer an hour of stretching with some breathwork at the end. Katie Duggan’s classes offer something considerably more layered than that — a practice that draws on traditional Hatha yoga, Kinetic Flow, Embodied Yoga Principles, chakra work, and guided meditation, woven into a single session with a weekly theme that shifts the emphasis across body, nervous system, and emotional landscape.

A Genuinely Multidisciplinary Practice

Katie is qualified as a 200-hour yoga instructor, an Embodied Yoga Principles teacher, a Kinetic Flow instructor, and a Reiki Master — a combination of qualifications that is unusual enough to be worth noting. Kinetic Flow, which she weaves through her classes, is a systematic approach to integrating the body’s muscular, nervous, and lymphatic systems for what practitioners describe as optimal performance and recovery.

The result is a class that feels different from standard yoga: more attentive to how the nervous system responds, more interested in what’s happening energetically than just structurally, and more likely to leave you feeling genuinely changed rather than just well-stretched.

Classes, Workshops, and Retreats

Katie teaches in-person classes in Waterford and Tramore, runs monthly workshops online and in person, and organises yearly luxury yoga and meditation retreats in beautiful locations. She also hosts over 100 on-demand sessions — breathwork, movement, guided meditations — for students who want to practice between classes or can’t make it in person.

Classes are priced at €10 each or six for €50, which makes this an accessible option whether you’re just starting out or already have an established practice.

Katie’s classes are built around weekly themes that shift between the physical, energetic, and emotional — each session something different, each session worth turning up for.

For All Levels

Classes are open to adults of all experience levels — beginners included. The approach is warm, patient, and non-competitive. If you’re looking for yoga in Waterford that goes beyond the surface, Katie Duggan is worth exploring.
